The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Eduardo Westerdahl “MACEW” open to the general public in the old customs house, the Casa de la Real Aduana, which overlooks the fishing harbour in Puerto de la Cruz also celebrates the International Museum Day.
This year the celebration is in the spirit of the motto: « Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, co-operation and peace among peoples ».

In the first week of June, the CIT (Tourist and Iniciatives Centre) is organizing the second edition of
PUERTO DE LA CRUZ in bloom!

Again the Loro Parque family has a new members. Two otters from the german Landauer Zoo have recently moved to their new home in Tenerife. These small mammals are now part of the large animal family of the Loro Parque and enrich the biodiversity of the park.

Finally: As counterpart to the “Parque de la Sortija” from Taoro Park today the area heading North (towards the center of Puerto de la Cruz, known as Atalaya gardens) were officially re-opened!
This part of the Taoro Park is a promontory offering excellent panoramic views of the town. It covers an area of 10,000 square metres of gardens, paths, look-out spots, fountains and cascades and a children’s playground.
