The XXVI edition of  the Canary Islands Music Festival started yesterday at the Auditorium in Santa Cruz with the Staatskapelle Dresden, the oldest in the world,  under the baton of maestro Zubin Hindu Mehta.

The executive committee of the Convenio de Regeneración del Espacio Turístico has approved the drafting of the Northern coastal path, expected to be undertaken in 2010.

It was the idea of the late Enrique Talg, founder of the Hotel Tigaiga in Puerto de la Cruz, as part of a Cabildo landscape initiative.
